What Happened:

October 4th, 2007. Shinjiro was a first year at Gekkoukan High School, and still relatively new to his Persona. On that day during the Dark Hour, an unusual Shadow had slipped into a town. The early members of SEES— Mitsuru, Akihiko, and Shinjiro— went after it, trying to stop it from causing damage. Shinjiro was ahead of everyone else, and chased it down to the alley behind the Port Island station. Intent on stopping it, he summoned his Persona.

And then he lost control of his own Persona.

After several frightening moments, he got his Persona back down. Unfortunately, someone else had been there in that alleyway. And while he'd been struggling for control, a young woman, a mother, had been murdered at the hands of his Persona.

Ostensibly a third-year at Gekkoukan High School, Shinjiro spends more time hanging around a certain alleyway in Tatsumi Port Island than he does in class. He was a founding member of the Specialized Extracurricular Execution Squad (SEES).

A tough and serious exterior hides a much gentler young man wracked with guilt and trauma. Shinjiro is kind and caring, worrying after his friends in his own gruff way. His hobbies include cooking and walking Koromaru. A more immature side of his personality comes out whenever he ends up spending time around his childhood friend Akihiko as they both get dragged into each other's antics and end up in lively competition more often than not.
